U.S. e-cigarette sales are rising steadily!

A series of data shows that the recent e-cigarette sales data is steadily increasing.

Since the US FDA implemented the flavored e-cigarette policy in February 2020 and reached a record sales of 22 million in March 2021, overall e-cigarette sales in the United States have steadily increased.

According to data released by the CDC Foundation in May, disposable e-cigarettes and pre-installed cartridge products are the main force in this sales increase.

From February 2020 to March 2021, in about a year, the total sales of e-cigarettes increased from 14.8 million to 22 million, an increase of nearly 50%, and the sales of flavored e-cigarettes alone increased by 64% .

This increase came from sales of disposable products, which accounted for 69.8%. From February 2020 to March 2021, the sales of disposable e-cigarettes increased by nearly 200% (from 2.8 million to 7.8 million).

Since the first release of the 2020 NYTS results in September 2020, and the FDA stated that it will give priority to the enforcement of disposable e-cigarettes, the sales of disposable e-cigarettes have almost doubled from 4 million to 7.8 million.

Although a series of data shows that the sales of e-cigarettes are continuing to rise, we should note that the smoking rate among young people is still high.

Teenagers have turned to disposable e-cigarettes, and disposable e-cigarettes have been able to stay on the market due to loopholes in the FDA’s policy (implemented in February 2020).

From 2019 to 2020, the use of disposable e-cigarettes has increased by a staggering 1,000% among high school e-cigarette users and 400% among middle school e-cigarette users.

The use of e-cigarettes by young people is still a serious problem. According to statistics, 3.6 million young people will use e-cigarettes in 2020.
